ShareUrFiles

AirDrop to Windows or Android: share files between any devices

In short

AirDrop is made for Apple devices: with Windows and most Android phones, it doesn't work. ShareUrFiles works in any browser: open it on the sending device, then scan the QR code or type the 6-digit code on the receiving one. Files go across directly, encrypted, with no app and no cable.

Step by step

  1. Open ShareUrFiles on the sending device

Go to shareurfiles.com/send and pick a file (several at once from Basic).

  2. Show the QR code

Create the link: a QR code and a 6-digit code appear.

  3. Receive on the other device

Scan the QR code with the camera, or open shareurfiles.com/receive and type the code.

Between which devices

  • iPhone to Windows PC, and the other way round.
  • Android to Mac or iPhone.
  • Computer to computer, whatever the system: Windows, macOS, Linux, ChromeOS.
  • Even on two different networks: Wi-Fi on one side, 4G or 5G on the other.

Compared with AirDrop

AirDrop uses Bluetooth and Wi-Fi between nearby devices. ShareUrFiles goes over the internet, with a direct, encrypted connection between the two browsers: the devices don't need to be close to each other, or of the same brand.
