ShareUrFiles

Terms of service

The rules for using ShareUrFiles. They apply as soon as you create an account or use the service.

Last updated: November 2, 2026

1. The service

ShareUrFiles connects two browsers so a file goes directly from the sender to the recipient, without being stored on our servers. The sender must keep their page open during the transfer. Speed depends on both connections and on the sender's plan.

2. Account

Sending requires an account; receiving doesn't. You must give a valid email and keep your password secret. You're responsible for what's done with your account. You must be at least 15 years old, or have the consent of a legal guardian.

3. Plans and payment

The free plan is free of charge. Paid plans (Basic, Pro, Max) are monthly or annual subscriptions, paid by card through Stripe, renewed automatically until cancelled.
You can cancel at any time from your account: the plan stays active until the end of the period already paid. Plan changes take effect immediately and are prorated.
If you're a consumer in the European Union, you have a 14-day withdrawal right; by starting to use a paid plan immediately, you agree that the service begins before the end of that period.
As a consumer, you keep all the rights the law of your country of residence gives you, in addition to these terms.

4. Acceptable use

You must not use ShareUrFiles to send content that is illegal, infringes others' rights (copyright, privacy), or contains malware. You must not try to disrupt the service, get around plan limits or access other people's transfers.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, after notice except in urgent cases.

5. Liability

We do our best to keep the service available, but we can't guarantee it will never be interrupted. Since files never go through our servers, we have no access to their content and keep no copy: keep your own backups. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid over the last 12 months, except where the law forbids such a limit.

6. Changes

We may update these terms. We'll let you know by email at least 30 days before any change that affects you. If you disagree, you can close your account.

7. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Québec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. In case of dispute, write to us first at mae@maestrow.com so we can look for an amicable solution; failing that, the courts of Québec have jurisdiction, without depriving you, as a consumer, of the protection of the law of your place of residence.
